My Top 3 Books from '23

The end of the year is closing in, and we’re far enough along that I feel comfortable announcing my top three reads from ‘23!

The books I selected were Assassin’s Fate by Robin Hobb, the final book in the Realm of the Elderlings world;

The Will of the Many by James Islington, the first in the new Hierarchy series;

…and The Pariah by Anthony Ryan, the beginning of his Covenant of Steel trilogy (which recently concluded).

My reasons for selecting each varied a little, but they all shared an enthralling story and world as well as were rigorous in their characterization and plot.
